**CrisperWhisper** is an advanced variant of OpenAI's Whisper, designed for fast, precise, and verbatim speech recognition with accurate (**crisp**) word-level timestamps. Unlike the original Whisper, which tends to omit disfluencies and follows more of a intended transcription style, CrisperWhisper aims to transcribe every spoken word exactly as it is, including fillers, pauses, stutters and false starts. Checkout our repo for more details: https://github.com/nyrahealth/CrisperWhisper CrisperWhisper significantly outperforms Whisper Large v3, especially on datasets that have a more verbatim transcription style in the ground truth, such as AMI and TED-LIUM. CrisperWhisper demonstrates superior performance segmentation performance. This performance gap is especially pronounced around disfluencies and pauses. The following table uses the metrics as defined in the paper. For this table we used a collar of 50ms. Heads for each Model were selected using the method described in the How section and the result attaining the highest F1 Score was choosen for each model using varying number of heads.

**The most accurate verbatim speech recognition you can run in production: controllable, multilingual, and timed to the word.** Most speech-to-text systems never actually decide whether to write down what was *said* or what was *meant*. They inherit that choice from their training data and apply it inconsistently. CrisperWhisper 2.0 makes it an explicit, controllable choice. One recording, two transcripts: > **Verbatim**, exactly what was said, in one consistent format: > `[um] so we we need to, to reschedule the th- thursday meeting to [uh] march third at nine thirty [laughter]` > > **Intended**, the clean version the speaker meant, with numbers, dates, > and emails formatted the way you'd write them: > `So we need to reschedule the Thursday meeting to March 3 at 9:30.`

COST EXPLORER

Great models. Clear costs.

Cost analysis

Adjust monthly token usage to compare estimated API costs.

Selection guide & FAQ
How should API prices be compared?+

Separate input, output and cache rates, then estimate the same workload. Image, audio and video rates may use items, duration or resolution rather than tokens.

Do open weights mean free commercial use?+

Not necessarily. Check each version’s license, commercial restrictions and policies. Self-hosting also incurs compute and maintenance costs.

Is the top-ranked model the best for me?+

Rankings depend on tasks, versions and methods. Compare accuracy, latency, reliability and costs on your own workload.
