DiffusionGemma is a generative model built by Google DeepMind. Based on the 26B A4B Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) Gemma 4 architecture, DiffusionGemma generates tokens using discrete diffusion. This open-weights model is multimodal, handling text, image, and video inputs to generate text output. Built on a MoE foundation, DiffusionGemma is designed to improve generation speed (tokens per second) while remaining deployable across various hardware environments. DiffusionGemma builds upon the architectural and capability advancements of Gemma 4, introducing several core features: DiffusionGemma is engineered to reduce the sequential bottlenecks of standard causal language models. It employs an encoder-decoder architecture specifically optimized for inference speed.

Hugging Face | GitHub | Launch Blog | Documentation | Technical Report > [!Note] > This model card is for the Gemma 4 12B Unified model, which is part of the Gemma 4 family of open models. Built with the same multimodal functionality as Gemma 4 E2B and E4B (text, audio, image, and video inputs), it brings native audio and vision understanding directly to local environments without the need for separate encoders. This unified approach to multimodality makes the model encoder-free, offering a deployment size that is perfect for consumer devices and streamlined local execution. Gemma is a family of open models built by Google DeepMind. Gemma 4 models are multimodal, handling text and image input (with audio supported on E2B, E4B, and 12B) and generating text output. This release includes open-weights models in both pre-trained and instruction-tuned variants. Gemma 4 features a context window of up to 256K tokens and maintains multilingual support in over 140 languages.

Hugging Face | GitHub | Launch Blog | Documentation | Technical Report > [!Note] > This model card is for the new versions of the Gemma 4 family optimized with Quantization-Aware Training (QAT), which allows preserving similar quality to bfloat16 while dramatically reducing the memory requirements to load the model. > Four versions of the QAT checkpoints are available: > * **Unquantized QAT checkpoints** (Q4_0): Half-precision weights extracted from the QAT pipeline, ideal for custom downstream compilation and research. Available for Gemma 4 E2B, E4B, 12B, 26B A4B, and 31B, and their drafter models. > * **GGUF** (Q4_0): Ready-to-deploy formats for broad ecosystem compatibility. Available for Gemma 4 E2B, E4B, 12B, 26B A4B, and 31B. > * **Mobile-optimized** (wNa8o8): A custom schema engineered explicitly for mobile hardware efficiency. It features targeted 2-bit decoding layers, optimized KV caches, and static activations to maximize VRAM savings. Available for Gemma 4 E2B and E4B. > * **Compressed Tensors** (w4a16): QAT checkpoints serialized in the compressed-tensors format for native, optimized inference with vLLM. Available for Gemma 4 E2B, E4B, 12B, and 31B. > * **Assistant Compatibility**: When using multi-token prediction (speculative decoding) with an assistant model alongside a QAT target model, the assistant model must also be a QAT checkpoint with the same precision to ensure compatibility. GLM-4.7-Flash is a 30B-A3B MoE model. As the strongest model in the 30B class, GLM-4.7-Flash offers a new option for lightweight deployment that balances performance and efficiency. For multi-turn agentic tasks (τ²-Bench and Terminal Bench 2), please turn on Preserved Thinking mode. For τ^2-Bench evaluation, we added an additional prompt to the Retail and Telecom user interaction to avoid failure modes caused by users ending the interaction incorrectly. For the Airline domain, we applied the domain fixes as proposed in the Claude Opus 4.5 release report.

Selection guide & FAQ
How should API prices be compared?+

Separate input, output and cache rates, then estimate the same workload. Image, audio and video rates may use items, duration or resolution rather than tokens.

Do open weights mean free commercial use?+

Not necessarily. Check each version’s license, commercial restrictions and policies. Self-hosting also incurs compute and maintenance costs.

Is the top-ranked model the best for me?+

Rankings depend on tasks, versions and methods. Compare accuracy, latency, reliability and costs on your own workload.
