Mistral Large 4 is our largest and most capable model to date: a 1 trillion-parameter natively multimodal Mixture-of-Experts model with 49 billion active parameters per token (52 billion including embeddings and output layers), trained from scratch on 3,800 NVIDIA Grace Blackwell GPUs in Mistral's own datacenters in Europe. Mistral Large 4 unifies instruction following, reasoning, coding, and agentic workflows in a single set of weights. While a generalist model, it shows especially good performance on workloads such as cybersecurity, finance, and law, and it surpasses frontier closed models on visual grounding. It is natively fluent in 160+ languages, including every official language of the European Union. Find more information on our blog. The model is also served on the Mistral API as `mistral-large-4`.
Mistral's cutting-edge language model for coding released end of July 2025. Codestral specializes in low-latency, high-frequency tasks such as fill-in-the-middle (FIM), code correction and test generation. Blog Post
Devstral 2 is a state-of-the-art open-source model by Mistral AI specializing in agentic coding. It is a 123B-parameter dense transformer model supporting a 256K context window. Devstral 2 supports exploring...
Devstral is an agentic LLM for software engineering tasks. **Devstral Small 2** excels at using tools to explore codebases, editing multiple files and power software engineering agents. The model achieves remarkable performance on SWE-bench. This model is an Instruct model in **FP8**, fine-tuned to follow instructions, making it ideal for chat, agentic and instruction based tasks for SWE use cases. Building upon Mistral Small 3.1 (2503), **with added reasoning capabilities**, undergoing SFT from Magistral Medium traces and RL on top, it's a small, efficient reasoning model with 24B parameters. Magistral Small can be deployed locally, fitting within a single RTX 4090 or a 32GB RAM MacBook once quantized. Learn more about Magistral in our blog post.

Selection guide & FAQ
How should API prices be compared?+
Separate input, output and cache rates, then estimate the same workload. Image, audio and video rates may use items, duration or resolution rather than tokens.
Do open weights mean free commercial use?+
Not necessarily. Check each version’s license, commercial restrictions and policies. Self-hosting also incurs compute and maintenance costs.
Is the top-ranked model the best for me?+
Rankings depend on tasks, versions and methods. Compare accuracy, latency, reliability and costs on your own workload.
