ConvNeXt V2 model pretrained using the FCMAE framework and fine-tuned on the ImageNet-1K dataset at resolution 224x224. It was introduced in the paper ConvNeXt V2: Co-designing and Scaling ConvNets with Masked Autoencoders by Woo et al. and first released in this repository. Disclaimer: The team releasing ConvNeXT V2 did not write a model card for this model so this model card has been written by the Hugging Face team. ConvNeXt V2 is a pure convolutional model (ConvNet) that introduces a fully convolutional masked autoencoder framework (FCMAE) and a new Global Response Normalization (GRN) layer to ConvNeXt. ConvNeXt V2 significantly improves the performance of pure ConvNets on various recognition benchmarks.

BEiT model pre-trained in a self-supervised fashion on ImageNet-1k (1,2 million images, 1000 classes) at resolution 224x224. It was introduced in the paper data2vec: A General Framework for Self-supervised Learning in Speech, Vision and Language by Alexei Baevski, Wei-Ning Hsu, Qiantong Xu, Arun Babu, Jiatao Gu, Michael Auli and first released in this repository. Disclaimer: The team releasing Facebook team did not write a model card for this model so this model card has been written by the Hugging Face team. *While the general idea of self-supervised learning is identical across modalities, the actual algorithms and objectives differ widely because they were developed with a single modality in mind. To get us closer to general self-supervised learning, we present data2vec, a framework that uses the same learning method for either speech, NLP or computer vision. The core idea is to predict latent representations of the full input data based on a masked view of the input in a selfdistillation setup using a standard Transformer architecture. Instead of predicting modality-specific targets such as words, visual tokens or units of human speech which are local in nature, data2vec predicts contextualized latent representations that contain information from the entire input. Experiments on the major benchmarks of speech recognition, image classification, and natural language understanding demonstrate a new state of the art or competitive performance to predominant approaches.*

Distilled data-efficient Image Transformer (DeiT) model pre-trained and fine-tuned on ImageNet-1k (1 million images, 1,000 classes) at resolution 224x224. It was first introduced in the paper Training data-efficient image transformers & distillation through attention by Touvron et al. and first released in this repository. However, the weights were converted from the timm repository by Ross Wightman. Disclaimer: The team releasing DeiT did not write a model card for this model so this model card has been written by the Hugging Face team. This model is a distilled Vision Transformer (ViT). It uses a distillation token, besides the class token, to effectively learn from a teacher (CNN) during both pre-training and fine-tuning. The distillation token is learned through backpropagation, by interacting with the class ([CLS]) and patch tokens through the self-attention layers.

Selection guide & FAQ
How should API prices be compared?+

Separate input, output and cache rates, then estimate the same workload. Image, audio and video rates may use items, duration or resolution rather than tokens.

Do open weights mean free commercial use?+

Not necessarily. Check each version’s license, commercial restrictions and policies. Self-hosting also incurs compute and maintenance costs.

Is the top-ranked model the best for me?+

Rankings depend on tasks, versions and methods. Compare accuracy, latency, reliability and costs on your own workload.
