Model overview
Inception V3 model for automated classification of plankton and other particles imaged by the Imaging FlowCytobot (IFCB) on the Northeast U.S. Shelf (NES). Classifies 155 categories including phytoplankton, microzooplankton, detritus, and imaging artifacts. This model is intended for automated taxonomic classification of IFCB imagery collected on the Northeast U.S. Shelf. It is suitable for operational use in plankton monitoring pipelines. Performance may degrade on IFCB data from other geographic regions or instruments with significantly different optical configurations. The main "cuda optimized" and "cpu" model versions return equivalent results. Both models will run fine on cpu or gpu.

Limitations & considerations
Sources are insufficient to establish specific limitations. Verify task performance, latency, data policies, licensing and version lifecycle.
Source prices & cost analysis
Prices vary by channel, region and configuration. Channel quotes are listed independently and are not treated as a single official provider price.

Do open weights permit free commercial use?
Not necessarily. Check the version license, commercial conditions and usage policies. Self-hosting incurs compute and maintenance costs.
Are these real-time billing prices?
These are timestamped source snapshots, not live billing prices. Check the channel for current versions, regions, discounts and billing methods.
